Project description

This rising senior from Fresno, California applied to Polygence thinking of his future in law and politics. Reflecting on his personal experience, he wanted to study the Supreme Court rulings that dictated the rights of men like him. He worked under the guidance of a Stanford Law student, and together they discussed the intricacies of Constitutional Law. For his final project, he wrote and published an article, which focused on the rights of the LGBTQ+ community. His piece investigates the 14th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution, 6 Supreme Court Cases, and 2 reviews on International Law with the aim to educate and promote acceptance of the LGBTQ+ community in today's society.
